What part of S CO are you from? I'm a S CO guy myself, I live in the San Luis Valley just outside Alamosa.

Welcome and good luck. I hunted Colorado extensively from when I was 16 up until 2004 when I moved to Cheyenne and because a Wyoming resident. If you need ideas on where to go for especially plains deer and antelope I got some prime areas you can look at. As for elk and others I know of good areas but not so sure how good they are now as I have been in Wyoming now close to 20 years.

Pronghorn country! I used to do medical transports from Alamosa to The springs and Denver. Always loved seeing all the antelope through your section of the state!
