Doing final preps for CO 2nd season in unit 78, just got data back from CPW with a map of all potential outfitter camps in the wilderness area I am headed to. Seems like there is a 'potential' camp every 2 miles or so...my #1 area has a camp located in same drainage. The camps are licensed to be there but the CPW said they may or not be occupied.
Any tips here from you guys much more experienced than I? This will be my sixth solo/two man trip to CO but first during the second rifle season. I will be 4-6 miles in from trailhead but I realize that many people could be in same area.
I am sure I will make day to day decisions based on what I see so this is probably a useless post but any opinions are welcome.
