Dad's first bear

My dad was finally able to get his first bear. While not very big, it had a broken front leg. He wasn't very picky after the big one he was hunting disappeared. It does have a big white v on its chest and he shot it on my birthday.

Congrats to dad ! One of the benefits of of Wisconsin's bear season is that there is alot of bears and they are accessible . My dad shot his first bear at age 76 and his second bear at age 84.

Good job! Bears have eluded me. I have had a couple of opportunities over the years, that petered out. Hopefully, someday before I am too old to care, I can get a spot and stalk bear.
