Dad and Brother drew a Idaho Unit 51 Nov. Bull tag

My dad and brother drew the late bull tag for unit 51. We usually hunt 36B so the area is new to them. Looking at onX and google earth to do some e-scouting. Found two old burns in there and some big drainages that look good.

Anyone have any experience on the late season hunt. ?

There are some pretty good areas on both sides of the river. With snow and wind, they can be in the coulees during the day and usually seem to hit the ag land at night. I would set up glassing spots between ag land and where the mountains break to the valley on either side of the road. That time frame I've seen more elk glassing then getting further into the mountains looking for them. Good luck, it should be a fun hunt.
