CVA Centerfire 35 Whelen or Savage 11/111 Left Hand 300 Win Mag

I want a new elk gun. Love my 270 and never had a problem but I want what I want and I want something a bit bigger.

Left handed so I'm looking at two options.

CVA in 35 Whelen. They have three models of centerfire; Apex, Stalker, Hunter if anyone has experience I would like your thoughts.

Savage in 300 Win Mag. Model 11/111

I would go for the Savage for two reasons: 1. much easier to upgrade if you chose with lots of options and 2. I prefer a repeater for elk.

It is hard to beat a Savage, but I think the CVA has done well also. I have always preferred Savages, though. I have never seen one that would not shoot extremely well.
