Hello all,
After years of hunting solo, I am looking to get the family back together for a rifle hunt for Elk this fall. I have spent the last few months glued to my OnX maps E-Scouting units 23 and 33. My objective is to find an area that will accommodate the guys that want to hike and get a mile or more off the roads, as well as the older guys in camp that are stuck to trucks and shorter walks into the woods. I have narrowed my search down to these two units and down to a few specific basins. I do have questions for someone that has hunted these units during the rifle seasons regarding camping, hunting pressure, and access. I'm hoping that someone on this site with experience in this part of Colorado would be willing to P.M me and help answer some of the questions that I cannot get answered with maps and OnX. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
