Had a very slow teal opener here in in CO. Not many teal around, but plenty of Honkers, Mallards & Gadwall. All BWT, and only saw 3 GWT. Highlight of the day was the last bird went down crippled and went under water 3 times on Katy, but she still got him.
Oh' well, maybe some more will blow in this week

Bird reports for Kansas are as low as I have seen in the last 7 years. The public marsh complex I usually hunt has 17 numbered pools/marsh's with only one having any water. Almost twisted my ankle walking in by stepping into a huge ground crack.

My season starts next saturday.hope there are some teal around or it may be a rough opener.i really like shooting teal for some reason.Maybe because back in the day we had a point system and you could shoot 10 of them.

Got to unload the shotgun early this morning as I had reached my limit at Cheyenne Bottoms! I went 2 for 2 and jinxed myself by declaring out loud that I hoped to be addressed as " Mr four shot" and had to use a lot more than two shells to finish up.

Finished Teal season with a GW & BW. No shortage of big ducks in the area. I figure in 6 weeks when the regular seasons opens its gonna be a good one! ;)
