This is a photo a buddy of mine recently sent me. He's a dyed in the wool bowhunter from Utah. Anyway he hunts Colorado every year for elk. His favorite method is to sit over water holes and wait for the elk to come to him. In the past they have seen a number of bears so he purchased a bear tag. He wasn't in his stand more than a short while when this bear came wandering in. A quick arrow through the lungs and his bear tag was filled with this beautiful chocolate bear. Oh and yes, he did get his bull elk a few days later. Sheesh some guys have all the luck. Right now I'd just like to be able to hunt anything bigger than a bird. Two more weeks until antelope season I can hardly wait. Anyway I thought some of you bear hunters might like the photo.
