Haven't had a chance to check in this group, but I did just hear a very good anti prop 114 ad on the radio from them. Good enough to get a donation from me anyways.

Thanks, @Bigjay73 - have read their website/powerpoint deck and I'll give them credit for appearing more professional on the surface than the Denny Behrens (of BGF/$FW fame) group. Even the name of the website is more likely to retain eyeballs from undecided voters than 'stopthewolf'

I still think the majority of the messaging these groups are putting out there is mostly just serving to reinforce an echo chamber ('fatal disease', threatening kids and pets, etc, etc). I understand in today's political climate there is little advantage to framing a reasonable discussion and expecting the electorate to read more than a snappy headline, but just looking at the slides - it's still a mixture of facts and opinions with no distinction between the two (designed that way, of course), and attacks the creature, not the process.

The press release (https://rethinkwolves.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/CPW-Press-Release-9.23.20.pdf) takes a slightly better tact, IMO.

Also - good job by them picking a name with the initials 'CPW' so that you can use terms like 'CPW Press Release' in documents - that's pretty smart.

Disclaimer: I am voting no on 114 and oppose ballot biology.

Great points, I blanked on the CPW aspect. The ad i heard basically stated that wolves are already here, and spending millions is a waste of resources. Simple and well explained

Here is a sample of what the other group is putting out for ad content - think this message will resonate with the ~90% of electorate that don't hunt? "We have no future if the wolves are introduced" - Sorry, MT/WY/ID - your future is gone. Come on down.

Good to see they got the WY feedground picture in there from 5 years ago in Bondurant, though. No anti-wolf message is complete without that one.

/sarcasm

Ballot Biology is dumb.

Well said, as a non resident I’ve given a few donations to the other group you mention but agree they could be a little less redneck to attract more non hunters to the cause. I sure hope this measure doesn’t pass because it would mean we might still have a voice in wildlife biology. The most insane part in all of this is the fact that CPW isn’t allowed to speak on the subject, someone explain to me why that is!?
