Somebody turned their tag in late last week and the folks at the CO DOW called and asked if I wanted it, I graciously acepted. Pretty late in the game, but will gladly accept any advice or any bones past tag holders want to throw my way.

Thanks!

Finding goats shouldn't be a problem... Castle Creek, Conundrum, Maroon, East Snowmass... walk in a couple of miles and look up, they'll be there. There are a few in Avalanche Creek as well as a few near Marble but you'll have to look long and hard for those. Prepare for beautiful scenery where ever you go.

Also be in the best shape of your life... Mountains are big, air is thin, terrain is extra steep with eroding crumbling rock on a dowhill slant. Tread carefully, those mountains are for real and have earned their nickname. Expect lots of company (hikers) with a occasional visit from the local wildlife (black bears).
