Lone Star was my cheap beer of choice in college. Those dang picture puzzles on the underside of the bottle caps increased in difficulty significantly after the first 7 or 8.

When we lived in San Antonio you could buy Longnecks by the case; take back everything including the bottle caps to the facility, and net cost was around 3-4 bucks or so. Once it was $2.88.
