Well, DAMN. Once again, the same place 3.7. This time it was way louder, more like thunder than a LOOOONG rumble; the noise seemed to be what was shaking the house. Pictures on the wall did not sway; they just rattled against the wall. We don't do any fracking here that I'm aware of.
We go a 100 years and now 3 in 30 days??? Do you think the 30* above normal, all winter long, or our extended dryness has anything to do with them? I read we sit on the Great Falls tectonic plate, and there are multiple lava dikes and buttes within 75 miles, maybe something like Mt Saint Helens

Hell yea! Make it fast!

When living in Illinois we would feel tremors occasionally. You may notice the lamp shades shake or the curtains jiggle but it usually didn't dawn on me until after the fact what had just happened.
We had one a few years ago that was centered almost right under our house. Very loud bang. Daughter said there was some shaking. Scared the bejeezus out of me when it woke me up. I thought my wife's hospital bed had collapsed from the sound of it.

Never felt an earthquake. Slept through several in California as a child. Apparently worked right through one a few weeks ago and now to hear about another? Crazy!
