Central and NE Montana Roads

Twodot, how did you make it home? Or are you in Winnett?

Those pictures are at home. I haven't been to Winnett yet. The culvert pic is a new creek crossing that our county road guys just installed at our Blood Creek crossing. The picture with all the water in the road is 79 Trail road just north of my house. That is from the swollen Musselshell River where we live.
floods are a bitch for sure. It will be years before all of this gets fixed. We still have issues with the roads from the last flood in 2011. That's what keeps this area wilderness though. Just came in from going and checking the road with the water over it. Road is now exposed, and has some pretty bad damage to one edge, but a narrow rig can get through there now.

I bet it is going to be a while before anyone gets across Timber creek down there in the bottom!

Without being able to get up on that ridge road that is going to be pretty difficult access to a LOT of elk country for archery season.

No kidding, I bet the crossings are all straight walled. I've heard you can't even make it that far though, sounds like nobody is getting in until things get fixed.
