By now, most of us know the medical profession has been peddling all kinds of non-facts that they pretend are facts. That's definitely true for anti-carnivore people.Exclusionary diets without clear benefits (like avoiding dairy if you are lactose intolerant) always come with a big gray box of potential problems.
In other words, you are posting "facts" that aren't facts at all.I can't tell what your argument is.

Read the article I just posted.
The article is mainstream medical opinion. That's ok, but all of us know lots of people following mainstream advice including diet that have all of the issues the author attributes to carnivore.
There are plenty of people who've done carnivore for years to eliminate their health issues that the medical profession couldn't fix. Mikhaila Peterson is one who's recovery is nothing short of amazing.
It's worth looking into diet alternatives if you have health issues that the "medical" profession can't fix.
Thank you for posting this and I will try and read much of it. I guess my question ultimately becomes, how do we know what is the best gut Microbiome? Have there been studies of the gut microbiome of people on something like keto to see if they’ve adapted to the changes in diet so we’re still getting the SCFA and other metabolites another way?
Of course, using the word "misinformation" says exactly where you are, and that's ok.I fight misinformation every day of my career
I found Peterson’s story interesting for sure. But listening to this guy on a couple different podcasts really pushed me to try keto. He seems like a legit medical professional looking into diet and mental wellnessThe article is mainstream medical opinion. Look into the Harvard carnivore study. Carnivore has its placeI don't know her, but seems like a YouTuber and podcaster with something to sell (her influence), which makes her bias pretty easy to be aware of. Her story could, maybe, be considered a type of "number of one" study, but isn't actual evidence for the rest of the world. I fight misinformation every day of my career, so I rely on people who actually know what they're talking about to do actual research that is peer reviewed and meaningful for the rest of the world, who still believes in science, so that I can do the best job I can do. Phrases like "mainstream medical opinion" key me in to where you'd rather put your trust, but please don't malign people trying to help other people with no financial motive. No drug company writes my checks, so this is the last I'll say on the matter.
All that's fine and dandy but is it really worth it???? What about the possibility you might get constipated!?I’m about 90 days in on Carnivore. It has been fantastic for me. I did a ton of research before I started. Listened to folks that have been on it for a year plus and showed improved labs, gut health, etc. I tried it personally in order to attempt to alleviate some pretty persistent and almost debilitating migraines that I’ve suffered from for 20+ years. Some of the research out there is pretty incredible and led me down this road. The benefits I’ve seen personally are sure hard to argue with.
-Sleeping better than I ever have
-Increased energy
-Joint pain is 100% gone
-Zero gut issues
-Skin psoriasis is 100% gone
-Best of all is that I haven’t had a migraine in 3 months now. That is unheard of for me.
I still do coffee. Mostly elk/wild game, beef, steaks and burger. Lots of eggs. Bacon, some chicken, fish and pork. Hard cheeses and heavy cream, lots of real butter, salt and water. That’s it. Cravings are gone. Eat as much as I want until I’m full. Still working out fairly hard and doing CrossFit style workouts 4-5x/week. The first week was a little tough with energy loss, but that went away quickly. Haven’t lost any strength at all. Don’t think I’ve lost much weight, but wasn’t really trying too. Maybe 5-lbs if I had to guess. I have noticed, that by 9-10pm, I’m ready for bed. Used to be kind of a night owl. I haven’t felt this good since my college athletic days.
I’ve read and listened to quite a bit of new research coming out as well regarding fiber, gut health, and a lot of the assumed antiquated false narratives out there. Pretty interesting stuff.
Not sure how long I’ll keep going, but it has gotten fairly easy and routine. The ONLY downside so far for me is that I like ice cream and beer!
That’s the best part! Don’t have to waste time pooping more than 2x/week. It’s great! Really shows how much real food is actually processed and used by the body when you’re not shitting it out every morning. All that's fine and dandy but is it really worth it???? Agreed. That was the biggest and fastest thing noticedThat’s the best part! Don’t have to waste time pooping more than 2x/week. It’s great! Really shows how much real food is actually processed and used by the body when you’re not shitting it out every morning.

They problem is like you point out a influencer bias all those people that supposedly know what they are doing may have a bias as well look where the funding comes from for most of the peer reviewed medical studies.
Lemon pepper or jalapeño are the better ones imo.The research also included talking with my doctor and a month of easing into it. I'm actually going back to said doctor Monday for a physical and blood work to make sure all is going well. I've got that part handled. Now those starkist snack packs caught my attention I'll have to pick some up and try them to see if they're my style for sure.
