There is nothing like hunting birds with these old shotguns. This is a Burgess wrist slide action shotgun with solid rib and 2 inch shells. A very rare shotgun, and even more rare are 2 inch shells…

I reload 2 1/2 inch shells on a Mec 600 Jr with a plate on the crimping side that will raise the shell up far enough to crimp.

The 2 inch shells are factory roll crimped, with an over the shot wad and I just shoot them because I found a flat of them at a gun show for only $75.00.

I can also put 7 of those 2 inch shells in the tube, and can hunt all day without reloading.

Old, unique shotguns are self-fulfilling, even when you get skunked, you’re proud to own it. Just spending time with it is a pleasure.
