I have an opportunity to buy a Browning Superposed Lightning Trap made in 1970. It's in mint condition. 30" barrels, fixed modified and full choke. Standard rib (not the wide boulevard style rib).

Anyone know much about this model? @Ben Lamb ? I've been searching but not coming up with a lot of info, especially on price. My primary use would be trap shooting, but I don't shoot 1,000s of rounds a year. Mostly I'm a sucker for really nice over unders.

I have a Lightening 20 made in 64 that is a great gun. One thing to watch out for is the “salt wood” period, when Browning salt cured stocks, which had a tendency to corrode surrounding steel. Get the exact year of manufacture and compare that with the availability literature on the salt wood years. There’s also a test that can be done to confirm the problem. All this is readily found on a Google search.
