Bowhunting whitetails from the ground

The Hunting Public guys kill some bruisers off the ground using ghillie suits. I've had the First Lite leafy suit and it is fine but I don't like that it doesn't have an integral hood. Wore the Duck Camp leafy suit, with integral hood, on my KS turkey hunt this year and was pleased. It is bulkier than the FL suit, though.

If you have snow, wearing snow camo is crazy how good it works. It seems white restricts depth of vision on deer. I had a friend fly in for late season public land hunt. We were by this deadfall but yet deer grabbed us every time. I told him we are doing something different next day. I grabbed some snow camo out of my storage and next day in white snow camo. He killed a giant doe at 18yds no clue we were there. Deer looked right thru us. I have killed a bunch in snow camo and if a choice, I would prefer hunting in it. Deer look right thru you it seems. Blood trails are awesome for those who have trouble tracking.
