Yup.
I understand that perspective 110% MOST people are waaaaaaaaay better off renting a boat 2-3 times a year from a reputable marina.
My (now 2) boats were bought cheap, are simplistic in design, are paid for and they still cost a ton to maintain and operate on a yearly basis. Being broke down in January on the bank of the Susquehanna river with icebergs the size of tennis courts floating past you will certainly open your eyes to the world of boat repair in a hurry.
50% of people who own a boat should not own a boat. They are nothing more than a danger to themselves and others. Just go to a boat ramp some time.
I am re-building a boat currently and I literally just ripped out all of the wiring from this boat and bulletproofed everything. Gonna toss some epoxy on the floor and then paint over it and I should be good to go. I pulled a mile of nonsense electrical wiring out of this boat in the last week.
Owner States: "It ran last year but something kept draining the battery". lol
