The pine needles didn't work for me so I used a blueberry specific fert for pH maintenance

Also helps if you mulch with pine needles, they'll help maintain the acidity as they decompose.

You can also make a bucket-tea with pine needles to water the bushes.

The pine needles didn't work for me so I used a blueberry specific fert for pH maintenance

They don’t do 100% but I think they do help. Plus, it’s taking a problem (PITA Scotch Pine needles) and turns it into a solution. So I’ll take it. I still dump more fertilizer on them every year, but not as much as I did when I originally planted them.

What we do grow hardly ever makes it into the house though. My kids pretty much eat everything remotely ripe straight off the bush.
