Anyone making it? Guys got any good tips trick or recipes I’m debating on buying a dehydrator and trying my hand at it with a pocket full of tags to punch ill
Just cut my meat accordingly. Seems like it could be less time consuming than making a bunch of jerky

This is the recipe I used. This was mule deer hind quarter. I found it pretty simple to make. Most everyone I gave some to enjoyed it besides a few kids. Packed some for a snack for archery elk and it was pretty good and didn’t go bad. Hung it in our basement from my barbell and had a fan going but not pointed at the meat. Sliced into thin pieces when ready. Never mind the writing on the wall from my kids drawing in my gym. lol IMG_4702.jpeg

I want to try hanging mine rather than using the dehydrator. See how different it turns out.
It was pretty easy hanging it. If you have a fairly cool spot to hang like a basement, it works well. I think mine took 7-10 days. It’s not too hard to just tell by feel when it’s done. You’ll get some small white mold spots on some pieces before it’s done. I guess they’re harmless and they’re really easy to cut/scrape off anyways.
