Best Opening Lyrics

Nine miles of two strand topped with barbed wire
Laid by the father for his son
Good shelter down there on the valley floor
Down by where the sweet stream runs

Right now we are living this as we prepare to sell our place and move to town.
Ageing out and can't keep up with the work.

Really hoping the transition suits you Chukarman...

Well, I just got into town about an hour ago
Took a look around, see which way the wind blow
Where the little girls in their Hollywood bungalows
Are you a lucky little lady in the City of Light
Or just another lost angel?

I hear it in my head.

The first rock record in our house. My brother bought it . When no one was home I would sneak it out and play it on the wall mounted NuTone turntable. My dad would yell at my brother for "Brainwashing that kid" (me.)

He wasn't wrong. I was hooked for life.

Put your sweet lips a little closer to the phone
Let's pretend that we're together all alone
I'll tell the man to turn the jukebox way down low
And you can tell your friend there with you he'll have to go

Everytime i hear this song I remember, while on a training op at the Navajo Army base near Flagstaff AZ, at the E club getting pounded on Turkey 101, my old Ssgt putting this on the jukebox n walking back to us doing this funny ass dance….this was over 30 years ago n I remember it vividly!
Music has the awesome power to do that

Cold and wet december day
we touched the ground at JFK...

Snow was melting on the ground
on BLS I heard the sound.........Angel

Blue light on the avenue
God knows they got to you

Empty glass the lady sings
eye swollen like a bee sting

Blinded you lost your way
in the side streets and the alleyways

Like a star exploding in the night
filling up the city with broad day light

Angel in devils shoes, Salvation in the blues
you never looked like an angel
