Wife and I are taking a long weekend trip to the beartooth highway, lived in MT my whole life and have never done the drive. We rented a cabin in red lodge and plan to explore from there any ideas on things to see, cool hikes (wife is 5 months pregnant), fishing any ideas ect?

A good day hike is to take the road just by/beyond Greenough / Limber Pine campgrounds, up to the Glacier Lake trail head. Hike from here to Glacier Lake. This road takes you past M - K campground. Work is being done on the road to the Glacier Lake trailhead during the day, so this may present a challenge. Another fun excursion is the hike to Timberline Lake. Head up the West Fork Road road to the ski hill (Red Lodge Mtn) past Wild Bill Lake, past Basin Campground to the Timberline Lake trail head. The first part is the steepest and then it stay fairly level until you get closer to the Lake. Glacier Lake is 3 miles from the trailhead and Timberline is about 5 miles. Both are fairly easy hikes.
