I some how managed to weasle my way into a bear hunt using dogs. I'm not sure what to expect but I plan to take some video. These dudes are pretty successful but I'm not guaranteed to be the shooter. I'm assuming they must split areas with dogs and if it's your side of the mountain it's your bear. I only get one day off since I've already taken several weeks for other hunts so I hope I get lucky. Should be interesting no matter what.

In the mean time here is a video of a moose hunt using a dog. :D

Moose vs. Dog

I missed this post earlier. Now that you done it i'm sure you liked it. There are some real good times to be had just like in any other type of hunting, its not always easy and sometimes very dangerous. I've hunted with hounds since I was 16 Love it. Been on good ones , bad ones, dangerous ones, If I had time I would still do it first and foremost. It takes a lot of time, patience, miles, long days, and very expensive.
When I was doing it on a regular basis it would cost on a average of 5-8K a year. That's for dogs all their care VET BILLS etc , gas that's not including much repair on vehicle. At that time I was competition coon hunting. a lot of weekends to I'm afraid to figure what I spent on that. I had a blast doing both. I enjoyed the bear most as it got more intense at times, but as for the hounds, and being in tune with them, the coon was the best
