Been seeing a lot of badgers here lately and this one wasnt fast enough to get away from me. I was fast enough to get away from him.

I had a buddy scalp one with a broadhead right above his hole. Thought he dropped him as he was shooting from 25 yds perpendicular as i was infront with the badger's attention. When we went to look he came running out roaring like a lion, I swear. One of the scariest sounds i ever heard in my life. We scampered away screaming like little girls. One shot mafia style instintive to the head followed up the nervous wounded badger scene.

I will agree with Fish... they have an errie screem when they have been shot or hurt! Don't let those short legs fool you they can move!!! We are over run with them at the airport I work at, I have gotten 3 this year, the best was 42 lbs. The other day I saw one that was much larger but no gun with me. Will post pics when I get him!!

mtmiller, I just took the photo of the 42# badger it is now tacked to my wall, I am trying to add a photo to this thread but having problems. Might have to start a new thread.

Cool picture. I've only seen one of those in my life -- I almost crashed into it while cycling when it ran across the road in front of me.
