Four confirmed dead in crash over Phoenix
Choppers were following a police chase. Suspect in chase is in custody.

After reading the story,I can't believe more people were not hurt. Air traffic control okayed one police and 5 news choppers into that air space! Lucky nobody on the ground was killed.

its extreamly lucky no one got killed on the ground, in that area the chances of crashing into a park is like 1 in 1million.
April was down there that morning at the eye surgeon, She was pretty shocked that they didnt hit a building or cars.

Yes its amazing no bystanders were hurt, The NSTB guy said they found a tail rotor 1/2 mile away on top of a parking garage

I heard the initial impact and saw them go out of sight behind the tree line. I work at 16th street and Indian School. 1/4 mile in any direction would have been even more disastorous (sp)
