Asking for Rio

Thunder and Lightning right on top of you will make a lot of dogs ears hurt. At least the last 7 dogs raised on fire lookout did. They also knew what a flash of lightning meant. This last dog was raised from a wee pup on a lookout and lightning and thunder really didn't bother him like it did the other dogs. If you stay calm and they don't have a bad experience with the thunder and lightning it doesn't bother them too much. But this dang dog sure knows what binoculars are for. He'll get up and look with you. As a fire lookout you have to be looking every 15 minutes for fires. He doesn't know what you're looking for but he'll be right there with you looking. I seen 3 dogs and 2 people try to go through the same door all at once one time. It didn't work 1 person and 2 dogs made it. I didn't and was trying to get the other dog in before the next strike and thunder hit. It was a sneaky little cloud not threatening at all but it hit a radio antenna about 60 foot away. The antenna was about 100 foot tall. It's all the lightning cable running under the ground that will get you.
