Anyone use Swarovski 12x as their only glass?

Looking to stay as light as possible - do any of you just carry the 12x Swaros and no other glass? Would be carried around neck until seated and then would be used off of a tripod.

For those of you with the 12x EL's - can you hold them steady for quick checks or are they only beneficial when on a tripod?

Will be used mostly in open country.

I know a couple of guys that work for swaro, and they will hunt with just the 12's. They say they can still hand hold them when sneaking if needed, but obviously are glassing off a tripod any time they are seated. The 12x50 el is an impressive optic. I have used them off a tripod, but never tried hand holding them. I carry a set of 10's in my bino harness and a set of 15's in the pack with the tripod.

I use 12ELs all the time, I can hold them plenty steady by hand. I still have a spotter in the pack though.
