everything i have found on it points to a trench gun wish i could find a serial # on itWow!
I'm thinking that if the barrel was shorter, it would look like a WWI trench gun.
Cool find!!
ill check it out and let you know if i find anything goodI do not know anything about this model, but it looks like that one is held together with a through-bolt, which means there is a cavity under the buttplate. Which means, there could be treasure under there. Better check.
that was the thought to make it workDeluxe version of a 520... They were nice shotguns at the and a John Browning design. Very smooth actions. This one looked like it was well loved at one time. Very cool shotgun!! are you thinking about getting it back up and running? Doesnt look like its terrible shape... nothing on there appears to be anything other than a basic repair.
Do a little homework to make sure it is safe at any speed with modern ammo. Some old guns (e.g., one of the old Marlin pumps), are unsafe with any ammo.that was the thought to make it work

If you do not know much about an old gun, do not simply assume that modern "Instant Death or Ultra Longrange" types of ammo are safe.
Just do not want anyone
