I hope my boys don't see that or I'm sure I'll be missing some powder from the reloading room, plus their first attempt would be "if 1 pound worked that good let's try at least 5 pounds!"

Don't stop on my account, there are a lot worse things they could be doing than shooting anvils, besides most of the antics they come up with end with no one getting hurt - at least too seriously. Fact is, I went to the shop to see if the bottom of our old anvil would hold powder like the one in the video .

I never would have thought that sucker would go that high! I figured 40-50 feet tops. Pretty cool.

Have a good friend who used to do this every July 4....only went out to watch a couple times and it was amazing the height those things would launch.

I would worry how to aim the anvil. What if it didn't go straight up. I wouldn't want to be under one of those when it came down!
