Another good hunt here in the ozarks this hunt finds. Us in the piney wilderness area for those familiar with the area its just west of cape fair and table rock lakes james river arm. The country is beautiful in my opinion but it was a little to steep for my hunting partners so I only made one drop before we went back to easier country. But what a drop treed one at 500 yards in a big Walnut at the bottom of a holler the 2nd dog split and treed another 500 in so a 1000 yard run for him. Treed a den tree probably on a boar my female treed a sow. Once we get home made one more drop which took a turn they ran one in a cave we got one out but the other was deep I ended up belly crawling through the water until I finally got to him. About 1000 yards in I found a tank with a pipe coming out of the hill to fill it.

Can't beat good hound! I use my sq dog at night some with limited success. Usually it catches them on the ground and loses the fight. We have better luck on lay-ups in daytime.

The one below was in the afternoon while on a mixed bag quest for woodcock and grey sq

That is awesome

I wish there were still people that liked coon hunting around my neck of the woods. The coons are thick here. I’ve been few times but it just wasn’t for me! I do love the hounds though.

There's a big hunt going on in Mississippi over 600 dogs entertained
