New Member. Been on RokSlide for several years. Recently found this in a Google search looking for specific unit info. Lots of good info here, looking forward to adding it to my hunting forum browsing addiction.
Whitetail hunter in OK since 2009. Started as an adult. All 3 of my kids hunt now. Daughter shot her first deer this year with her oldest brother in tow. I'm on here for the Elk hunting info.
Did CO 2nd Rifle OTC in 2022 with a buddy. Fell in love with the chase as I knew I would. Took me a while to get going as I spent 14 years coaching my boys in Youth Football, so you can't take a week off in Sept.
Archery for a week in 2023 in CO. Followed by 11 days in CO in 2024. Both solo. Took my middle son up to MT for a Nov. Rifle hunt in 2024. Saw tons of cows and spikes. No Bulls. 2025 I did an Idaho Drop Camp in Archery opening weekend. It was a bust.
This season I'm back to the place I know best. Got close in CO in 2024. Working to get things figured out some as my Middle Son is 3 more falls away from being out of HS and being my full time Elk Rut hunting partner. The kid is ate up with the mountains and the chase just as much as I am.
Anyways, always learning and trying to get incite to help me get closer to closing the deal.
