An embarrassing question about bore cleaning...

The empty jag package in my cleaning box says .243 on it so that's what I'm using and Pro Shot cotton patches.

I've had problems too, I've had the best luck using the Pro-Shot brass jags and round cotton patches.

I also have a Tipton brass jag set that has everything from .17 up to .45, if one combo is too tight or too loose I can find something that works.

Brass jags can be a source of copper which is why I switched to the non copper Bore Tech jags. I have the Dewey coated rods and the adapter to connect the jag to the rod is brass. Not sure if a SS is available that will work.
