Advice please

Sako 85 300 Short Mag.....bolt will lift but will not release. Last shot was factory cartridge.

Maybe the case cracked, had defect, wedged with debris, or expanded and is hung not allowing bolt to slide back. Bolt can lift because it is just sliding/twisting on the stuck case. My uneducated guess.

You were right Rowdy, thanks. Tapped the handle with a rubber mallet & it released. Primer pinholed and case pressure signs.

No problem. Honestly the hammer is what fixed the problem so Dink propably deserves the credit on this one.
