Before I left Oregon just over a week a ago , my dad who’s now 80 gave me this Dall Sheep Horn , i’m not sure of the exact age other than I know it’s over 40 years old. Been in our family as long as I can remember and dad finally told me the story of how he got it , I got around to asking him when he gave it to me. We moved to Alaska I think 74/75 and my dad worked for the telephone company in Alaska back in the day and at some point working for the telephone company they were running line somewhere and they went through an abandoned old trapper type Homestead and this was laying out in the grass in front of the old abandon cabin , dad picked it up and put it in his work truck and it’s been in the family ever since. It’s going on my mantle in my man cave now, Alaska to Oregon to Montana, this horn is now well traveled.
