Have been hunting my entire life, but I am fairly new to the eastern side of Montana. I have done plenty of research on the 900-20 tag and I have narrowed my opening weekend options down to just a couple. I was curious if anyone had any insight into elk populations in the Snowy Mountains? Not looking for spots, etc... I just don't have the time to drive three hours for a weekend scouting trip. Shooting the stick bow this year so any information helps! Please PM me if necessary. Thanks in advance!

Snowy's are tough to find elk on public land. Lots of pressure seems to push them the private pretty quick.

Wait for enough pressure on the private to push them off or try to call them off the private,thats how the Snowys work after the first morning.
