Do any of you fine folks have any legitimate load data for the 127 lrx that isn’t based off rl 26 or retumbo? I’d like to load with magnum or h1000 or rl23. Thanks

How much different is it from the 6.5 Sherman? Or the 6.5-06AI case capacity-wise?

From George's 6.5 group on Facebook, (a GAP load in there for reference).

- I have a new GAP 6.5PRC that I am breaking in with the LRX. So far so good with ADG, CCI BR and 58.8 grains of H1000. Found very consistent velocities at about 3078 FPS out of a 25” Bartlein 5R.

- Here is what worked for my 6.5 GAP:
New Hornady brass, Fed 210M, 2.830” to 2.850” oal was very accurate. I settled on 2.840”. I worked up to 62.4 grains of H1000 giving me 3200fps. Roughly a 1/2 moa load. My barrel is a 8.0 twist with GAP’s standard freebore & neck (from 2 years ago), but I don’t remember what that is.

Wouldn't it be amazing if there were some sort of program that could answer these questions and give good data for a wide variety of powders, bullets, chamberings, allowing you to get custom load data and not have to rely on the bullet companies to pick your powders for you?! Oh wait, there is, but it's only available on Betamax and costs $150.00 and most reloaders don't even know it exists... #makequickloadsanapp #sellitfor20dollarsandyoullmakemoremoneyipromise

..ok, stepping off soapbox... good luck!

Even better if you can get a QL subscriber to run stuff for you.

I know, I'm just bitter because the guy who used to do it for me got sick of all the requests... :ROFLMAO: It really boggles my mind that we're still in a system where people buy bullet manufacturers books, or look at their websites and either stick to the listed powders, or start experimenting...

Look up 6.5-284 and 6.5-06 data. The PRC and these two have nearly identical case capacities

Guys shooting the Absolute Hammer are seeing velocities of 3400-3500 fps with the 123 grain bullet. mtmuley
