Anyone hunt and killed elk with the Barnes 250 tez bullets?

My wife killed a bull a couple years ago at 100 yards broadside, through both lungs, bullet stopped in the far hide fully expanded like advertised. Didn’t hit the shoulder so not sure how that would work out but I would try to miss it. 100 grains 777. I wanted to use 290 grains for that hunt but couldn’t find them at the time.

I’ve used them on deer with two pellets of white hots. Bang flop. Can’t speak to elk but I’d probably go to 3 pellets for a little more range or power.
