I wanted to make a separate thread than the main NHL thread Any hockey fans out there? for folks to submit their season long predictions for the 25-26 NHL Seasons. I figured this would be easier to look back to find your takes than trying to look back through general hockey talk.

I have no prizes to offer you other than internet bragging rights, which is a pretty fair prize if were being honest.

Hockey has a ton of fun positional awards, but to keep it (mostly) on the fairway.

Notes for the future (when I go 0-7 on these):

I had a hard time deciding between CAR and the Leafs out of the East, but I think Toronto is due for a deep run. FLA is already on the path to having a traditional ‘cup hangover’ kind of season. That’s a lot of short off-seasons and injuries. Tampa remains a wagon and Vasi not only is a monster but won’t have the Olympics in the middle.

Homer pick for the West. To me, the 4 best teams in the league at this moment are in the West and it’s a 4-way coin flip between them (COL, EDM, DAL, VGK)

I almost wrote in Sidney Crosby (COL) for Conn Smythe, but the Pens looked too good last night to re-ignite that trade rumor…yet

Hellebuyck - not happening. maybe partial credit for Oly victory?
Leafs - only positive is I wasn’t the only person on that island.

The rest still have a chance but I’m not confident and am rooting for other teams.

I way underestimated my team this year (Wild) and they finished a whooping 12 points higher at 104.
Matthews - ugh as well.
Oettinger - I really feel this year doesn't have a sure standout Vezina winner. Both Av and Wild goalies if it was a full season sample would make a strong case but since they both are pretty much an equal timeshare I think it rules all 4 of them out. I think what Gibson did for Detroit may fetch some votes but it likely goes to Vasil.

knights came short up short on pts but still won the pacific
i'd still lean kuch for hart.
vezina i think will go to wedgewood, which is completely system related... but he did lead in GSAX, and save % which goes a long way, and also led in % of games above .900. Thompson could also be in the conversation along with Vas.
rangers sucked the big one - i should've known better.
knights and marner - if they can continue what they've done since torts took over - could be in the cards still.
