22-250 Ackley Improved

I've just blown out a bunch of neww WW brass to fit an Akley Improved i picked up at a gun show and need a few pet loads for it. It has a 1-12 twist so I'll be shooting a 55 grain bullet (probably a V-max or Bliztking).
I have no books that list data for this, so any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Jim

Try this load, it worked well in a 1-14 twist barrel I used to have.

41 Grains H380
Fed 210M primer
WW case
55 Grain vmax

Depending on barrel length, it should give ya about 3700 or so.

My ole buddy MLM had one of these for a few days last spring. We should have never let it go. I believe it was loaded with H-380, (maybe ww760) and 50gr Vmax's. One of the best rifles I ever shot for accuracy. Sold it to a chap in Florida who got it on a Wednesday and won smallest group with it on a Saturday BR competition. I think it shot like a .335 group for him. Good luck with yours. Let us know how it shoots. WD
