In 2014 I drew a mulie tag. That tag allowed me to hunt September 1-30 with a bow, October 1-31 with a muzzle loader and November 1-14 with a rifle. I don't bow hunt (plan to starts so I can do OTC archery for mulie every year September 15-October 14) and was only able to make it out a few days in October. The first week of rifle season was hot and I don't even go out. Paste clerics showed me the last few day of rifle season were prime time. The morning of November 11 we seen a bunch of does and small bucks up to about 180 that I passed on. We had to go in early because I shot at a coyote and a case got stuck in my 300 mag. After knocking the case out and an early lunch we were back in the field around 11:30 glassing. In the mean time it has gotten windy and snowing and the deer were hunkered out of the wind in draws and coulees. We were driving along a pasture when this guy a doe and a smaller buck jumped up. One shot from about 80 yards and he dropped but got back up and made it about 20 yards before going down for good. He was a really old deer with only one tooth left in his mouth
