These are a bit late but it's been a busy year. We did the 3 most stressful things you can do to a marriage in the span of about 2 months. My wife and I were very fortunate to get job offers back in Wyoming. We both accepted, we were able to sell our house in SD, move to Sheridan, start new jobs and a month later we welcomed our beautiful daughter. She is our first and everything has been going great!

The first deer is one I got I South Dakota in the grasslands, wasn't the biggest deer I saw but the biggest public land deer I saw. I literally watched a very nice deer 50 yards away, not even caring about me, walk the private fence line and rather than cross into public, he walked back towards me to stay on private. I have to give these deer a lot more credit. The second deer is my 2013 Wyoming deer, I waited on a Butte at dark and took him in the last few minutes of legal hunting light. I setup 200 yards from private property and watched the paying hunters (6 in the back of a pickup) drive down their property looking for deer, I spotted this deer and just waited for the hunter's to push him over the fence. He came right to me, stopped broadside at about 150 yards and I dropped him with my 7mm08 with a double lung shot. That's the first time hunting pressure has worked to my advantage. Not huge but unique and wide, he probably needed a couple more years.

Thanks guys! The only way it gets better is that I no longer have to buy non-resident tags for Wyoming. I'm also glad I bought my lifetime hunting/fishing/conservation permit before I moved to South Dakota... I had a feeling I'd make it back someday! Lol

Adorable little one and two beautiful trophies! Congrats and best of luck in your new home and jobs. Good huntin'
