Is this some kind of hybrid? It doesn’t have the white on the tail that Mirriams usually have...

Lucky you! Turkey still on my bucket list. Been invited to eastern Ontario and NY but COVID has got in the way. Variants are causing havoc up here now. Good time to be recovering from surgery. I can't do anything else. Sigh!

Congrats! Our season doesn't open for another 10 days, so I am pretty jealous of all these birds going down.
I have taken a number of birds in merriams areas with that coloring. Seems like there is some variety to them.
