    Use your .308 but drop the bullet weight. You aren’t going to lose as much velocity as you think, but you’d be better served with a light bullet. Especially if you want to shoot monos.

    Yes, powder efficiency is better. Pressure is pressure though and will accelerate wear. Less erosion than a PRC? Maybe. More than a standard CM? Almost certainly yes. Physics don’t lie. As @Fire_9 pointed out, most folks don’t shoot enough to wear out a barrel anyway, so it’s a moot point...

    This rifle does not have that. It’ll shoot. This was a quick three shot group to check zero after the rifle hit the deck and landed on the eyepiece housing.

    Good post. Yes, there are a number of bad actors, both landowners and hunters. And, residents and non residents. A phone call to the county and/or respective land management agency is always a good idea.
