I used to own a camp near Grenada lake a few years back but sold it. It was fun fishing there but the word here is that live scope fishing has ruined that lake. I live two minutes from the ross barnett and fish it several times a week. I will catch two or three 16 inches and up every year but...- rebjfan

The corp of engineer lakes along interstate 55 are great lakes to catch really big fish from although you can not catch big number of fish, ( Grenada, sardis, Enid and arkabutla). I fish the ross barnett reservoir near jackson mississippi often. I only live 1.5 miles from the lake. It is not...- rebjfan

Those are some beautiful fish. How long were some of your biggest fish. We get to fish here in mississippi year round and consider anything over 12 inches long a good fish. In some of the lakes here they have to be over 12 inches to keep them. You have some great eating. Congratulations.- rebjfan

Put the wind at your back and start to them. The wind will change before you get there. It does for me as slow as I move. -

School me up on buying a 4 to 6 ton excavator and mulching head
Have you ever considered getting a Browns wood tree cutter on a skid steer or a really well set up 4 wheel drive tractor? You can probably get it for 25% of the prices you are talking about and still do 80% of a mulching head. It is amazing what a Browns wood tree cutter will do.- rebjfan
