Even if all 3 million acres sold for 100,000 per acre, that only pays for a little over a month of government spending.
My point being that the only 2 reasons Mike is giving for needing to sell are bogus.
So with FLPMA this isn't about affordable housing. I thought about the 'we're in so much debt...we need the money from the land sale' argument and did some quick calculations-

The most expensive ranch for sale goes for...
Plus they can already get this land if needed (say, for affordable housing?) via the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) of 1976-

I agree, I'm not going to respond. The survey is worded like the question, 'Have you stopped beating your wife?', it's a loaded question. If you answer 'yes' it means you agree to the bill to sell 2-3 million acres of public land. If you answer 'no' it means you want to sell of National parks...
I actually got a survey back from Hageman-
The Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee recently released legislative text to be considered as part of Senate Republicans’ budget reconciliation bill.
Here's WY It Matters.

Just heard back from Barrasso, here's what he sent, seems to push the 'less than 1%' will be sold like that makes it OK-
Thank you for contacting me. It is good to hear from you.
I appreciate hearing your thoughts on the budget reconciliation legislation. On June 11, 2025, Chairman Mike Lee...
Here's the canned response I got from Lummis, nothing from Barrasso or Hageman but not that I expect any-
Thank you for contacting me about public lands.
Wyoming and other western states are blessed with beautiful public lands that offer endless opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts. The...
I've never been on that exact property but I've been in the area. A quick check on google satellite view shows the BLM land to be swapped in phase 2 has much more timber than the private parcels.
While I don't have a problem with phase 1 as most of those BLM parcels appear scattered and isolated, I definitely have a problem with phase 2. There are over 80 acres of BLM that border Highway 16 which allows access to a full 640 acre state section which would be gone, and the private land...
I keep this with my hunting license in case a rancher with cattle on BLM land harrasses me. The Taylor Grazing Act states that the grazing lease can be canceled for violations, part seven would seem to include corners based on the judges ruling. This can be a huge blow as the AUM fee is only...
I've never been there but it looks like good country, don't forget to apply for the HMA that's there -

Unlimited permission slips for that one but you still need to apply for it on July 13th. Best of luck!
