    I’m a watcher and a listener. I don’t post much because I feel that I don’t have much to contribute to a mostly western hunting forum. I am however strongly opposed to any infringement upon our 2nd amendment rights. If that makes me wrong, or a troll, sorry for speaking up in a “place for friends”.

    What's on the smoker today?

    I am amazed at how tender venison roasts are when smoked. I started only doing them to 130 degrees. But even at 160 degrees they are incredibly tender. I started smoking this January and it has been a great learning experience.

    Definitely pay attention to regulations concerning the rules of removing game from the field. There are different requirements in different units. It also varies by species.
