I ordered a few boxes also. I spoke to Barnes about twist rates and they recommended 1-8.5 at sea level but anything above 1000' of elevation will be good with a 1-9 which is what I have.
Just saw this pop up at my local shop. Barnes Vortex LRX 152g ammo in 280ai. Seems heavy for caliber and odd since the usual LRX loads in 280ai have been 145g and 139g. Anyone ever use this bullet? wonder how it will perform on game since it is such a heavy copper load.
I got mine off capital but that was three weeks ago now and it was the last one they had. Buddy just found one at a local shop after seeing them all out of stock online.
I am about to pull the trigger on a can after many years of putting it off. I am down to two options and would like some opinion especially from individuals who have used both. I am torn between the Silencerco Scythe Ti and the Banish Backcountry. Thanks for the help.
Agreed, you want to push the elk off your property allow walk on access. There are some many programs curranty that offer these land owners solutions. All they want is guided hunt money, has nothing to do with crops.
I shoot these is my 300WM, 30-06 and soon my 6.5 CM. They are awesome. My 30-06 is consistently 1/2 MOA with them. Just knocked down a Muley with one, went 10 yards with great entry and exit. Meat damage was minimal.
