Yeah, I think the future is bright for Van Ness and Haines. I think Bartlett overachieved, as well. Dean disappointed, but 197 is such a meat grinder at NCAAs.
Seedlings are out for nationals. And they are….puzzling? Frustrating? Infuriating? All of the above?

Sidebar: @Gellar - looking forward to your annual NCAAs thread. *hint hint*
Minnesota and Nebraska both impressed yesterday.
I was hopeful Bartlett would make it into the finals, but we are looking pretty good for NCAAs; I think we qualified 9 to go to Tulsa. We Are!
This. I’ve found that it’s easy to grease the skids with farmers and land owners if you start with predator control, particularly on land where farmers have chickens, ducks, sheep, etc.
Regarding population control, agreed it’s hard (impossible) to make an impact, the exception being sustained...
Got lucky yesterday, boys. Went into the local martins with my wife to pick up some steaks and ended up taking a look in the beef cooler. There were 3 full packer (15-17lb each) briskets on clearance for $38 each (marked down from $94-$103). So I effectively got a buy one get two deal. Anyway...
Apologies…I’m a late comer to the party on this one. Was outside the country last summer and wasn’t following the forum as closely as I’d have liked. But, recently stumbled onto the interview with @Big Fin after listening to the episode @Matt Rinella did with Aaron Snyder of Kifaru Intl (which...
This will prob fall on deaf ears - with the exception of @wllm - as it’s a sci-fi/fantasy series, but I’m currently reading (on book 3) the Red Rising series by Pierce Brown. It’s excellent. Like Hunger Games meets Game of Thrones.
Went to the match (I’m an alum and try to go to one big match a year). Atmosphere was electric, but as you probably saw, the match was short on offense post-133 lb bout.
I’ve run Big Agnes tents for years. Big fan. With gear, it’s quality, weight, and price. You can usually have two of the three (assuming you’re not filthy rich), and I’ve found BA to offer a good mix of all three. Right now I’m running a Fly Creek UL2 (retails for like $300?). Plenty of space...
Don’t worry @Big Fin, some of us are even father behind. 😆
Great story, fellas. Pics and videos were awesome. A great hunt is often made an epic one when it’s shared with friends. And congrats, @Gerald Martin. Looks like 2022 will be an unforgettable year for you and your boys!
