Has anyone on here hunted Namibia’s Caprivi Strip? Some friends and I are going Cape buffalo hunting, and they suggested this area. I have hunted central Namibia once and South Africa three times, so do have some experience in Africa. I just like to be totally prepared for everything.
In my experience the ELD-X bullets don’t hold together. Some people like their bullets exploding, but I like mine to mushroom out and retain their weight. To each his own I guess. They are very accurate though, and seating depth isn’t a big issue with them.
I have hunted all around South Africa and Namibia, and all of the locals over there use suppressors. They all look at it as a safety issue. They don’t want to blow their hunting buddy’s eardrum out by shooting next to him.
