Kansas gets no love. We have mule deer, elk, and pronghorn along with scads of big whitetails. It may not have massive numbers, but the animals here are all but reserved for residents, with some exceptions.- nhenry

Milk jug challenge.
It was an acquaintance’s 6 GT PRS rifle. As it got hotter the POI shifted up and right. Being as it kicked like a gnat, we attributed it to heat. Might have been a bad barrel like you said, but I find that unlikely. Certainly had nothing to do with the craftsmanship of the rifle. -

I’ve gotten groups opening/walking from heat with Bartleins installed by GAP before. The only two barrels I haven’t had with that problem were a Preferred and the current Proof I have on my 280 AI, though the latter might have a shift from cold bore. Haven’t tested enough. -

Hadn’t even thought about the shot stringing, honestly. Great point. I definitely overthink getting my barrel hot, but it’s because of ruining the throat, not dispersion. -

For your consideration: A left-handed LA CA Mesa stock (also used on the ridgeline, just with the channel opened). I shortened this one with the intention of putting on a 1 1/8 Kick-EEZ on it. Never got around to it, but it’s ready for any grind-to-fit. With the factory pad screwed back on... -

Hornady 7 PRC a Lie?
I’ve seen it happen with all types of brass, except for Peterson because I’ve never seen Peterson’s. An uncle of mine bought Lapua trying to remedy it and the clickers started on reload 2.- nhenry
